Nomination Call: AAS Affiliates' Program
The AAS Affiliates program intends to provide support to young scholars that will enable them develop into research leaders. The programme is targeted to support Africans who are aged 40 years or below, who are already employed in higher educational or research institutions; who have obtained their PhD during the last five years and have undertaken post-doctoral research experience. They may be in any field of specialization. AAS will organize a range of activities to enhance the professional development of the Affiliate members. The designation of Affiliate Membership shall be for a period of five years.
Nominations are invited from leaders of higher educational institutions, leaders of research institutions and from Fellows/Associate Fellows of AAS. Nominations shall be made through each region (Northern, Eastern, Central, Western and Southern Africa) through the respective regional office of AAS. The nomination procedures and details of the Affiliates Program are attached. The deadline for receipt of nominations is 30th April 2015.
